Megan Weller, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #105064

My desire is to offer people a safe place where they can experience acceptance, compassion, hope, and healing in the midst of working through life’s challenging circumstances. I firmly believe that God’s “power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Cor. 12:9), and it is my privilege to come alongside my clients as they navigate life and experience the growth and strength that comes with working through life’s many trials.

Counseling
I welcome the opportunity to work with adults, couples, adolescents, and young children struggling with a variety of concerns, which may include: anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, relationship strain, and grief and loss. I am ready to provide a tailored approach that will offer hope and empowerment as you move forward in your life journey.

I particularly have a passion for working with young children and teens. I have had the privilege to work with children and teens from many different backgrounds and walked alongside children and their parents as they heal and grow. I can help children and teens navigate life challenges, such as anxiety, depression, cutting, ADHD, trauma, issues related to child-abuse, parent-child relational difficulties, and challenges surrounding divorce. We do not do custody evaluations at RCA. I am also certified in the evidenced-based practice Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which provides me with specialized training to help children and teens heal from past trauma. If your child is struggling, there is hope and an array of tools to support you and your child.

I also am available for pre-marital counseling utilizing the Prepare-Enrich Assessment, which helps couples identify the areas of strength and growth in their relationship.

Education
I earned my BA in Psychology from Biola University and my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Seminary. I am extremely grateful for the education I received from these institutions, which came with the ability to study Psychology and counseling practices through a Biblical worldview and lens.

Personal Interests
In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, hiking, biking, traveling, and enjoying the beach.
