Adam Erlenbusch, MFT Intern
"The Marvelous richness of human experience would lose something of rewarding joy if there were not limitations to overcome. The hilltop hour
would not be half so wonderful if there were no dark valleys to traverse." (Helen Keller)
Seeking help from a trusted person is the first step to improving your life! Beginning this process is a marker in the avenue toward change.
I am Adam Erlenbusch and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern. I believe that the beginning of personal change comes from self awareness. I have
a passion for helping children, teens, adults, families and couples. For many individuals, therapy is a new experience. Each session is conducted at
the individual clients own pace and own developmental level. My collaboration with the client is paramount in assessing the needs and treatment approach
to the therapy process. I provide my clients with a safe environment that allows each individual to explore past hurts and triggers. I offer many types
of therapy based on each persons needs. I utilize play and expressive art techniques to address a vast array of issues in children’s lives. My passion
with children led me to recently publish the book, The Gray Balloon. This book has been well received both locally and internationally. My work can
best be described as, "helping promote harmony and change through the therapy process."

Education
My training and experience has given me a diverse exposure to a wide variety of individual backgrounds. I have worked for Church organizations as well
as non-profit agencies. My development of premarital-marital programs for mission churches and case management services for non-profit agencies has
been a integral part of my personal growth in this field. I have worked for San Diego Center for Childrens Outpatient clinic for three years. This has
provided me with a rich experience working with children, teens and families. My experience is not limited to children and families, as I have provided
services for adults and couples as well. My experience has given me a strong theoretical approach to therapy. Some of the modalities I use in the
treatment process include but are not limited to: Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bowen Family System’s, Reality Therapy,
Attachment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Play and Art therapy, Child Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, Behavioral therapy, Anger Management, and
Christian Counseling. I believe that change can best occur through an integration of support systems that surround an individual. I am a passionate
